Why Homesteading? Because that`s what I`m going through right now and plan to live for the rest of my life. We moved to a small farm in the summer of 2020 and immediately jumped into everything farm-related. We have chickens and vegetable crops and we plan to make some great canned foods next summer. It is not surprising that we ended up here. My husband and I always joked with each other that we were born in the wrong century. My husband has always had a deep interest in all things farming, and I grew up on a farm. All of this meant that once we had some land, they jumped into all the things on the farm without looking back. We thrive with the lifestyle of growing our own food, living close to the land, producing instead of just consuming, living a simpler life rooted in the ways of the past, and surrounding ourselves in nature and animals.
